EMEA Storage Management Group (EMEA DS SAN) - Level ONE support
?	Escalates problems and issues encountered on the EMEA SAN and CAS Infrastructure to the SAN Engineering team or vendor(s) (EMC, McData, Cisco, HDS, etc) depending on the nature of the issue or problem/s.
?	Serves as an interface between the SAs, vendor(s) and the SAN Integration team.

SAN Engineering Team - Level TWO support
?	Analyzes errors logs and messages, in tandem with the SAs and EMEA DS SAN, to isolate problems.
?	Collaborates with EMEA DS SAN and the SA teams to take corrective actions based on problem fault isolation.
?	Provides modifications to SAN SOE design based on historical trend analysis.

Data Centre Site Management (DCSM) - Level TWO support
?	Dimensions and replaces fibre from servers, switches, EMC Symmetrix and/or Clariion frames.
?	Troubleshoots fibre connectivity issues on the Storage Area Network. (SAN) on McData and Cisco Switches

SUN Hardware Engineers (SUN on site Support Engineers) - Level TWO support and for replacing defective UNIX server hardware components.

Hardware Infrastructure Services (On-site vendor) also responsible for replacing defective WINTEL server hardware components.

System Administrators - Initiators of problem management process
?	Initiate the problem management process by opening Virtual Tech tickets.

The goal of the EMEA Storage Management Storage Area Network (SAN) Problem Management PCM is to ensure the integrity and reliability of the production environment, to manage, schedule, communicate, measure and coordinate problem management activity, and to provide management with information to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

For the SAN environment COB applies only to the mode of service offered to applications. In normal use production servers would have storage available for read/write at the primary site with SRDF ensuring synchronous replication of the data to a second set of offline (to the COB server) disks at the secondary site. Storage Management COB activities for the SAN would be limited to breaking that logical link and enabling the secondary disks for read/write using a `failover` or `split` command.

HDS Dynamic Provisioning (HDP). This software will run on HDS USPV arrays and promises to help save storage capital costs by delaying or avoiding certain disk purchases.

The Solutions Enabler application from EMC allows configuration and control of the EMC Symmetrix storage arrays. It consists of commands that can be invoked via the command line, or within scripts. The Citigroup standard configuration of Solutions Enabler is installed on a SOE Solaris host that is connected to the Storage Area Network. The application utilizes the fibre channel transport to send commands to the array.
