gtesamba is a UNIX machine running the Samba service so it behaves like a Windows server.
 
In order to access that share you need work done in the UNIX side of things:
 
- First you need a UNIX account in the infra.dev.cw.cg.com NIS+ domain (you should ask specifically for a Samba account if you don't need login access to any UNIX servers)
 
- Second you need to be part of the sats-g-drive netgroup in the Dev environment.
 
All this is requested using VSR.
 
Once that is in place mounting the share is transparent (if the Windows part behind the scenes works) and you should not be required any password.

This is regarding VT#13297225 which is raised by PAUL behalf of me.
 
I m able to access \\LDNCTINAS114\cti_3085_strge shared directory but when ever i tried to open \\gtesamba.eur.nsroot.net\Sats-g-drive it is asking username and password.
 
please try to resolve the issue and let me know if you need any info.

 Hi, Can someone please confirm if the following staff should be able to connect to the sats-g-drive as we're having problems getting them connected. They are based in Singapore so login to APAC domain (not EUR) not sure if this make any difference. I'm sure all required paperwork etc has been submitted previously.
